So once again we plead BalconyTV supporters to go to www.myspace.com/u2 and post comments on their message board asking can we do a report from their final Verigo gig in Hawaii. We are going afterall. We did ask them...but they said no...

We would like to post a comment on the U2 message board, but alas we are not one of their 'friends' yet. Our friendship of the band is pending apparently. Which seems really unfair considering we have all their albums.

Hello Hello...

Im going to get seriously back into this now. I was in the Dawson Lounge last night...and was told by the bartender that we are un professional because the blog isn't always updated. Maybe hes right...a new professional blogger so...

Heres some pretty amazing news. Myself and BalconyTVs Pauline are going to see U2 in Hawaii next week!!! That is good news don't you think. With us both being major U2 fans...we can't wait.

Knowing about this for some time we have had the idea to do a BalconyTV from the show. A small little offbeat BalconyTV special from the concert.

So we emailed and wrote to Principle Managment (U2s Managment) and requested permission for some back stage access...nothing major...still the usual tiny operation of BalconyTV...

But alas...no...we are not allowd.

My self and Pauline are very upset. Infact 'We're Mad As Hell And We're Not Going To Take It Anymore'!!!!

We ask all BalconyTV fans to bombard the U2 myspace with comments...to your disgruntlement!!!! People power.

Its been a while. A good friend gave out to me the other day for the lack of blog entries. So heres a new one.

It's been a while. Too long. The blog has been down recently due to a lack of inspiration. Paulines photos have been neglected due to a lack of inspiration. What's going on you say? Well lets call it a kind of creative hybernation. Truth be told the BalconyTv crew have been on holiday. But now they are back and ready to party hardy marty.
This week in Hotpress BalconyTV achieved its first ever teeny tiny mention. On the very back page it says...

'Having built a reputation for giving internet time to unknown local acts from in location on a balcony in Dublin's Dame Street, balconytv.com is now attracting the more established acts, with Eleanor McEvoy and Paul Brady both having featured. McEvoy's performances included 'The Fields of Dublin 4' from her new album, an interesting choice given that the song is about the perils of the Celtic Tiger and the recording location is adjacent to the Central Bank...'

Im not sure we are adjacent to the Central Bank though. Hold on as I look up my dictionary for the word adjacent. Maybe we are. I can't figure it out. We are certainly 'near enough'...
