Where does creativity come from?

The idea for todays show came from an extra feature on a great documentary called Comedian by Jerry Seinfeld. Alas I can't find that extra feature on YouTube. So instead I offer you the trailer to that film...which is by the way the greatest trailer ever!!!

we went to see The Departed last night finally. We tryed every day last week to see it but it has been in a constant state of soldoutness.
Anyways...the film is highly enjoyable...Highly. I mean very high. Up in the sky like.
Apart from the last 10 minutes...when I go.........awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Marty what were you thinking? God Damnit.

Football MAD!!!

1-1 against the Czechs. That was the worst result I could of imagined. After the Cyprus game, I felt a draw with the Czechs would be the worst result. What it would mean is that Stan would be given extra time...Ireland would float in further mediocrity...and we would delay the inevitible. So while a stirring performance...too little too late for me.
Ah well. England lost. The lost well too. Still a cause for comfort. We need to get over that.
But you didnt check on to read about football. Did you?

Wednesday Money

So North Korea says that if America treatens any embargos, they will see it as an act of war. Right. Thats great. Hmmmmmm. I mean HAAAAAAALLOOOO!!! Has the world gone completly bonkers. I think so.
That apart we went to see World Trade Centre last night. Don't believe the reviews. Its quite good. It is a bit sentimental though, so if you can't stomach that, best avoid it.
I was looking down from the Balcony last night. I saw a man houting at a taxi driver because he had left his light on. He was really angry. Really angry.
"Your luyts on ye ffffuckin prick!!!" is what he said. Terrible stuff altogether.
Oh yeah, YouTube was bought yesterday by Google for ONE POING SIX BILLION DOLLARS!!! Thats 1.6bn Dollars. Or $1.6bn. Or 16000000000000000000000000000000...or something along those lines.
I think BalconyTV has been an intergral part of the success of YouTube...so we'd like to hereby request a few of those zeros...with a one infront of it ofcoarse.

LITTLE MISS BRILLIANT

The sun is splitting the stones. Just listening to Simon Jewell - todays show. Sounds crackingly good.

Anyway, not much to say. Went to the movies last night. Wanted to see The Departed, but alas the flm was sold out. So a quick decision was made, and I went to see Little Miss Sunshine instead.

A beautiful film I thought. Highly entertaining, while thought provoking. The film had a great emotional range. The annoying thing about watching a film like Little Miss Sunshine in a packed cinema, is that you get people who don't understand the tone of the film.

They laugh at the bits they're not supposed to, and don't laugh at the bits they are. And just because Steve Carell is mostly a comic actor, people just don't know how to take it. I thought he played the film very straight. An excellent performance by him.

One must ask, why can't an actor like Adam Sandler chose film roles like this? They both come from the Saturday Night Live school of acting, but clearly Carell is choosier on what he does and doesnt do.

So go see it is what I say.

MONDAY MORNING

Lorraine O Reilly has 6000 views!!! Incredeeebley!!! And we see that our Tickle Me Elmo...desperate filler show has had a ratings spike. It now has in the region of 2500 views. Our videos have an average of 677 views each! RTE will be shakin in them boots.

Was in Town Bar and Grill last night. Tom Millett presenter extra-ordin-aire was playing jazz there as he always does every Sunday night with John Keogh. Every time you go to that restaurant you spot a famous face. Not that I'm names dropping, but last night was a legendary Irish politician in attendence. Goes by the name.....

Ok, new tact here. Candice turned up aswell. Otherwise known as The Swag Operation. She wore a bowler hat, which looked rather spiffing!!!

If I said we were freaked out I'd by lying, because we're not I tell you. We're not!! Not in the slightest! But it seems that the BalconyTV Stalker TM has posted another video. This one seems to be dedicated to Tom Millett.
Bless Tom wasn't in the slightest bit freaked out...not in the slightest.

Break sounds

So we have theories that as the weather gets colder and wetter, the street sounds well get noisier. As the buses and cars go harder on the breaks they really can be noisy. For the first time in the history of BalconyTV recently we've had to reshoot and reshoot and reshoot, due to over bearing street sounds.

What to do? Is this the end of BalconyTV as we know it? It remains to be seen. But one thing is for sure...

Late but not too late

If your wondering why todays video was posted so late...its all because Pauline broke our internet box. Yes thats right...she walks straight into, causing it to fall to the floor in super slow motion...

All I could do was say...noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

It smashed into a million tiny pieces. Pauline put her hands out and in the squeekiest voice of all time said...

'it was an accident...don't be mad at me....'

And then I responded by saying 'you f@£*in stupide dosey f@*&£(£&*(@(&*£(*@(*£(&^&^^((*

The she cryed. Then I cryed. Then she coughed up 100EURO.

And the irony. This is the 100th blog entry!!!!

Light, lights, lights

Pauline has wrapped up the BalconyTV lights and packed them away in a box. She has just rang me. She wreckins we might have some entitlements...but first she wants me rooting for a receipt. I'm not very good with receipts.

The Balcony lights were outdoor lights, so in theory they shouldn't just stop working. Should they?

The balconytv lights are broken!!! It seems they are not as outdoor protected as we once thought. No more flashy balcony for now so. Its very dissappointing.

OCTOBER FEST!!!

Welcome to October. Another month that will probably be the hottest such on record. Do you know September wasn't just the hottest September ever, but the hottest September ever by some distance! I don't want to sound alarmest, but we're finished folks.

So there have not been so many blog entries recently. We'll put that down to the fact that pure and simple, its been a very busy week for the crew. And since BalconyTV aint exactly racking it in, priorities must be made.

Nevertheless, we are rejuvinated now, and expect fun stuff in future. Especially in this blog, where I will endeavor to continue the wit that has made this blog the stuff of legend.

The week started out very well for the Balcony with Niamhs performance wooing all who saw it. And the week ended in a bang with Eleanor McEvoy coming up for a couple of tunes. WE ARE NOT WORTHY, WE ARE NOT WORTHY!!!
