Saturdays blurb. I don't know where the word blurb came from but this is a blurb. Is it not?
Nice piece in The Times today. Short as it is, it says...
'It's only a few weeks old, but Balcony TV is becoming a cult. Every day, Pauline Freeman, Tom Millett and Stephen O' Regan webcast a magazine programme featuring anything from singers to belly dancers, transmitting to the world from their balcony on Dame Street in Dublin. www.balconytv.com. NG'
Short and sweet and in big letters:-) But its funny how BalconyTV has been described as a magazine programme again. The digital podcast programme thingy with Dusty Rhodes called it the same thing, saying we were one hour long.
How do you define a magazine programme? I always reckoned it was a show that had lots of little things in it. Our shows have just one thing in it. You can't flick through it. (Unless you go the archives ofcoarse) You can't leave it on the floor of the bathroom. You can't read about Jordan on it. (Yet). You get the idea.
In my secret location in the city now, where they have super strong airlink, which makes upload easier, I keep seeing this guy walk around who I swear I a legendary Hollywood movie director. Being a film maker myself (wannabe/ tryabe), I really recognize him...but just can't place him. He has that classic Mel Brooksy look.
